Lizard Outreach Trust is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic addition to its small team to help us recruit and manage a volunteer bank to help us run and support our projects. The volunteers will be well rewarded as they support innovative youth activities for Young People living on The Lizard Peninsula – in the past our volunteers have been to Brussels, Newfoundland, London, and learnt alongside the young people.

Your role will be to create structures, policies and procedures to ensure our volunteers are supported as much as they can be in a Young Persons setting. You’ll then be instrumental in recruiting our volunteers and making sure they’re kept happy with a coordinated timetable, supervision and training and regular communication.

Key aspects of this position will be to liaise closely with our full-time youth worker, and to strengthen links and partnerships within the community.

The person appointed will be enthusiastic, energetic and experienced in some aspects of administration, volunteering and preferably youth work.

The post is part-time (2 days per week)

Funding is in place for 2 years.
Your work base will be in the Lizard Village on The Lizard Peninsula, nr Helston.
